Haitian Refugees in Florida

There's an online petition titled "Please no Haitian refugees in Florida" which I spotted on reddit today. When I went to it, it was at 444 signatures, and lucky #444 read as follows:

As a Jamaican who came here. I first want to say thank you America. However, it comes a time when we must close our borders. This is absolutely ridiculous. America needs to take care of its own. We cant take care of the world. I am sorry they had this happen. However no one can say Pat Robertson lied. The truth is the truth and must be spoken. It is also a known fact that 2 days prior to earthquake 2 children were kidnapped from the hopital and sacrafised in the palace for a vodoo ceremony. Haiti needs to turn to God and give up the voodoo. Haiti is 80 Percent catholic 20 percent protestant and 100 percent voodoo. Keep that in Haiti. Let Haitian and the world rebuild haiti and they stay there.

Oh I'm holding my sides in laughter, not that strange pain I was feeling on my side driving back from Atlanta...I think. Maybe we should spur adoption of lil Haitian babies here in New Orleans. There's plenty of people who speak Haitian Creole, so they wouldn't really feel so out of place...I think?
